Second Photographer

Part-time position

The Second Photographer’s role is to photograph wedding days as a support for the Lead Photographer. They are in charge of the parts of the day that need additional coverage, and help the day run efficiently. The second photographer helps deliver on our promise of telling our clients’ stories, exceeding their expectations, and providing the MJ&Co. experience.

The Second Photographer has a strong understanding of portraiture and storytelling, and can create beautiful images in any situation. Exceptional people skills are required in order to create a stress-free client experience.

Responsibilities include

Photographing bride or groom getting ready
Capturing alternate angles of wedding day events
Supporting photography of couple and the wedding party
Help “wrangling” during family photography

Experience required

Portrait and event photography*
Background in customer service

Lead Photographer

Full-time position

The role of the Lead Photographer is connecting with and taking care of couples. They are the primary contact and manage their own wedding clients from start to finish. They are in charge of booking, planning and photographing engagement sessions, as well as delivering on our promise to tell the story of a couples’ wedding day.

The Lead Photographer understands the couples’ expectations as well or better than the couples themselves. Portraiture and storytelling are second nature, and they can create beautiful images in any situation. Above all, they in charge of delivering the MJ&Co. Experience.

Responsibilities include

Wedding day photography lead
Wedding day timeline planning
Management and nurturing of your own clientele
Strong, professional ambassador of the MJ&Co. brand.
Production management of wedding projects
Scheduling and management of client meetings

Experience required

Portrait and event photography
Wedding photography experience (minimum of 3 years, or 15 weddings as lead)
Background in customer service
